You are a nihilist.

‘There is no ultimate meaning or purpose to anything in this world.’

It’s funny how most people who claim there's no ultimate meaning still live and speak as if there is. Even the attempt to answer the question itself, betrays the fact that we think the question is worth answering. We feel it gives us a sense of significance to be able to know that there’s no answer.

Most people don’t realise that Frederich Nietzsche, often credited as the father of Nihilism, did not condone this worldview; instead he saw it as a disorder that would eventually spell the doom of humanity...

Human beings are created to have purpose and usefulness. This is found only in a relationship with God through Jesus.

‘I pray...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints...’

- Paul’s letter to Ephesian Christians, 1:17-18
