You are a humanist.
'Meaning is found as human beings progress, explore and create a sense of our own meaning'
You may be a humanist without having realised it. Humanism is the basis upon
which much of our educational, political and social systems are built; and it is the basis for our ‘secular’ society, which sees no place for faith except in the personal, private arena.

You've got to wonder though. If human beings are the ultimate source and creators of meaning, we’ve done a pretty cruddy job of it. War. Oppression.
Racism. Pollution. Global warming. Don’t kid yourself; if you think we’re somehow getting better as we go, read a bit of history!
Human beings are made to give honour to God, not ourselves. True humanity is found through forgiveness and reconciliation with God our creator through Jesus, and being aligned with His purpose, not ours.

‘The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.’
(John speaking of Jesus, in his biography of Jesus, 1:9-13)
